Dear Paul,
Your trip so far is interesting and fun. I am enjoying it each day.
I was especially interested in the Channel Islands because Libby a few years ago suggested I read The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society. It is an excellent book that helps one understand the difficulties imposed on the islands during WW II. Interestingly, it was written by an American, Mary Ann Shaffer, with the help of her niece.
How many places in the world does without automobiles? I am retired and looking for places where I can relax and contemplate whatever. Sark here I come!
